Allegedly, on February 16, 1998, Kevin Holtzer mercilessly attacked 18-year-old Kalee and proceeded to beat her to death. The next day, the head of support found her dead body.

According to the postmortem examination report, the victim had nearly 19 cuts, severe blunt force injuries, skull fractures, and internal death. She also endured strangulation.
Through an exhaustive and extraordinary examination, which included several meetings, the specialists learned about Holtzer after a piece of information revealed that the fingerprints found in the blood at the crime scene matched the shoes he used to wear.
The police also discovered that Kevin was a representative at a tire plant and found a tire valve center at the crime scene, making him the prime suspect in the homicide. Kevin’s DNA was later traced to the tire valve. When police searched for him, they discovered that he had escaped from the structure at least seven days after the homicide and had also stopped showing up for work.
