Who was Ben Ferencz? Ben Ferencz, full name Benjamin Berell Ferencz, was an American lawyer. He was born on Walk 11, 1920, in Csolt, Szatmar District, Kingdom of Hungary. He moved very early in life with his parents to New York to escape rampant discrimination against Jews.
Ferencz moved on from Harvard graduate school. He enlisted in the US military to take part in the Normandy raid during the Second Great War. Due to his legal background, he became an expert on Nazi atrocities against American soldiers under the new Atrocity Section of the Adjudicator’s Promoter’s Office.
At age 27, he served as examiner in 1947 at Nuremberg, where Nazi litigants, including Hermann Gutting, faced a plethora of preliminaries for misdeeds against humanity and destruction known as the Holocaust in which 6,000,000 Jews and many others were deliberately killed. .
He waged holy war for a world court of lawbreakers and for regulations to end hostile battles for most of his life. With the founding of the Global Lawbreakers Tribunal in The Hague in 2002, he half-understood his fantasy of a council to charge atrocities.
In 1946 Ferencz married his girlfriend, Gertrude Broiled, in New York. They were married for quite some time until she died in 2019. The couple had four children.
Ferencz spoke French, Spanish, German, Hungarian, and Yiddish. He created nine books and a few articles, and spoke and world harmony meetings.
