Last week, the Bronx Head District Attorney’s office revealed that Tyresse Minter was charged with murder and criminally negligent homicide for allegedly fatally asphyxiating his stepson.
Examiners announced that on April 5, 2023, Tyresse was subpoenaed in Bronx Criminal Court by Judge Naiti Semaj, who subpoenaed his surrender at her own risk, regardless of the Bronx Chief Prosecutor’s Office’s request that Tyresse was confined in front of his preliminary.
ABC7 revealed that upon arrival of the episode, the school requested that Tyresse Minter get Corde Scott, who was having an especially terrible day. Medics found Corde unconscious in her family’s Westchester Square condominium on Doris Road, near Lyon Road in Westchester Square. The young man was then taken to the Jacobi Clinical Center, where his death was announced.
Police revealed that specialists located injuries to Corde’s neck and throat. A representative for the Clinical Inspector said Corde Scott died of manic asphyxia, including pressure on the neck.
Despite the fact that Tyresse Minter was reportedly targeted by police on two occasions, there were initially no arrests.
Records from the State Amendments Branch show that Tyresse Minter was released prior to an attack at the time of the offense. Tyresse was released from state prison in December 2022 after serving three years on a felony assault conviction in the Bronx. Records show that he also served time in jail on an attempted conviction for robbery.
Corde Scott’s crushed grandfather, Winston Scott, told The News:
“I haven’t slept right now. I look hard in the mirror and there is no white in my eyes. Just dark and red. He was a decent boy.” Tyresse Minter will currently appear in court on June 20, 2023.
