Cruz allegedly consented to a vehicle and house search and gave authorities a buccal swab. “Witness 2,” a different Cruz child, reported to the police that her mother spent a considerable amount of time in the toilet on January 27 owing to stomach pain. Witness 2 reported that she thought her mother had been bleeding since there was so much blood.

She allegedly admitted to being pregnant and concealing the pregnancy from her family because the child’s father was not her husband in another interview with Cruz. She was afraid that if her family found out the truth, they would stop talking to her.

According to the complaint, “her kid had to have been alive when he was born, and she did nothing, therefore that is how he might have died.” “The infant began turning purple soon after birth. As the night wore on, his body began to become purple, followed by his face, arms, and hands. Never did she assist the infant. She was afraid that her children would find out she was pregnant, so she did not call 911.

Next, she hid the infant in the box under the sink cabinet, got it out about 4:30 a.m., and delivered it to a caravan park at approximately 6:00 a.m. She said, “Every day I checked on the box and sobbed.” Cruz was arrested, and her bond was set at $10,000. On April 4, she will make another court appearance for a preliminary hearing.
