On Thursday, Walk 23, Nigerian representative Ike Ekweremadu was sentenced by a UK court in an organ harvesting plot. According to the BBC, Ekweremadu planned to oppress a 21-year-old Nigerian public to harvest his organs. The organs were supposed to be delivered to his little girl.

According to Vanguard News on June 23, 2022, examiners caught Ike Ekweremadu in the organ harvesting scheme along with his better half, his girlfriend, and Dr. Obinna Obeta. Although the authorities eventually acquitted Ekweremadu’s young daughter, Sonia, on equal grounds, he was sentenced for the stunt along with Dr. Obeta and his partner, Beatrice.

At the time of the collusion, Sonia was on dialysis and required an organ as a gift. Ike Ekweremadu and his assistants apparently succeeded in getting the 21-year-old Nigerian public to come to the UK, where he would claim to be Sonia’s cousin, subsequently qualifying him to give her an organ. The 21-year-old Nigerian told the UK court that he was consequently guaranteed £7,000.

As reported by the Daily Trust, Ike Ekweremadu is a 60-year-old lawmaker associated with the People’s Progressive faction. He also held the position of Representative Leader of the Nigerian Senate.

Born in Enugu state, Ekweremadu was called to the Nigerian bar in 1987, after graduating with a postgraduate degree in regulation from the University of Nigeria. He officially began his political vocation in 1997, after being appointed Principal Director of the Aninri Close Government Meeting. After steadily rising through the progressive system to a senatorial position, he announced that he would resign in 2023.

In a proclamation of authority made after Ike Ekweremadu got caught up in the organ harvesting stunt, Boss Crown examiner Joanne Jakymec denounced his activities. She assured that she took advantage of his influence on legislative issues to take advantage of the youth drop.

“The current subjection surrounds us. We want the public’s help to single out potential survivors of treatment and abuse to deal with the guilty and safeguard the defenseless.” She proceeded to recognize the person in question, who ventured out and confronted Ekweremadu despite her shock.

“We could never have achieved this conviction without the help of one man, the survivor of the victim. I congratulate him on his most extreme bravery.” The court noted that while UK regulation allows for organ donation, it is illegal to award monetary compensation to an organ. Ike Ekweremadu will face a sentencing hearing on May 5.
