The next day, Sharma multiplied these charges with an extended Facebook post listing explicit complaints against Work Whip Duncan Webb, former Whip Kieran McAnulty, and the office of State Director Jacinda Ardern.

González-Montero, Webb and Ardern all claimed that his offices were working with Sharma to resolve a business issue in his parliamentary office. The work issue centered on a former staff member who was tormented by Sharma; that they were being confined from different staff members by him and therefore sought treatment after that. Sharma, however, said that his agreement was not extended due to the agent’s unfortunate performance.
Work Party MPs including Damien O’Connor, Chris Hipkins and Anahila Kanongata’a-Suisuiki looked into Sharma’s cases. However, Public Party MPs Matt Doocey, Chris Diocesan and Chris Penk assured that Sharma’s charges raised issues over alleged harassment and deceit within the Labor Party. After the Sharma cases, senior Work MP staffer Anna Lorck claimed that she was the survivor of the torment.
On August 15, Ardern stated that the Labor Party’s parliamentary council would hold an exceptional meeting that week to discuss Sharma’s harassment charges. That same day, Sharma posted more charges on Facebook about the work environment he plagued within the Work Party. Sharma also claimed he was being silenced after Labor pioneers asked him to defend their interests with whips and party pioneers and he tried not to speak to the media.

Ardern dismissed calls by the Hamilton West board of elections for a free test. The New Zealand envoy also revealed that three members of Sharma’s team had given up during his most memorable year after raising concerns about him; that he allegedly prompted Parliamentary Aid to suspend the employment of new staff for Sharma’s parliamentary office.

However, he refused to use the Constituents Correction (Respectability) Act 2018 to expel Sharma from Parliament because he would prefer not to impose “useless weight” on citizens by triggering a political decision. Ardern also rejected Sharma’s appeal for a free request, as he was not justified in guaranteeing his charges. Ardern also showed that the Party would consider expelling him from the Labor Party.
