Alison Mau is an Australian-born New Zealand writer and television presenter. She is a former TV reporter, former co-host of TVNZ current projects show Seven Sharp, former co-moderator of buy projects show Fair Go and former co-host of TVNZ Breakfast show.

Mau is a former talkback radio personality at RadioLIVE, an Auckland-based New Zealand radio talkback, news and gaming organization claimed and operated by MediaWorks New Zealand. Mau is now a commentary reporter at The Sunday Star-Times weekend newspaper and a donor at the news site Stuff.

She returned to Breakfast in 2004, but left at the end of the year to join rival network Prime TV, where she worked with former TVNZ moderator Paul Holmes.

She became repetitive of Prime when Sky took over the station in mid-2006 and returned to TVNZ in 2008. Following her revisit to TVNZ, Mau functioned as a backup for breakfast, as well as appearing in other parts of the world. She shows world, non-news and current affairs shows, including the home and lifestyle show Home Front, which she co-hosted with future Dunedin City President Dave Winnow.

In 2010, Alison Mau became a co-host of the week-after-week customer problem show Fair Go.
