Rawan Bin Hussain is a Kuwaiti Law graduate, entrepreneur, author, and social media figure. Rawan was born on 30 December 1996 in Kuwait to a Kuwaiti father and a Palestinian mother. She is the eldest of 3 sisters and 1 brother. She graduated from high school, as one of the top 20 students at the national level in the state of Kuwait, in 2014.
She then moved to the United States, Los Angeles, CA, and joined a one-year course (International Foundation Program) at the university of southern California 2014-2015. She then moved to the United Kingdom and joined Kings College London for the law pathway foundation program 2015-2016. She then did her 3-year LLB program (Bachelor of Law ) at the University of Westminster from 2016 – 2019. She graduated in July 2019.
Rawan got married to a British/Libyan businessman in May 2019 who she exposed earlier that year (January 2019) for cheating on her. Rawan had a baby daughter named Luna on February 2, 2020, in Dubai. In July 2020, Rawan announced that she is divorcing her husband after a year of a toxic and abusive relationship.
Rawan started her career by coincidence when she used to write Arabic poetry on Instagram when a journalist discovered her and published an article about her naming her “the Kuwaiti writer that looks like Brooke Shields”. Rawan was then a trending topic for a couple of months and grew her social media platforms impressively. Rawan published an Arabic novel titled “As If No Woman Has Ever Loved” in November, 2017 which was a best seller in Qatar International Book Fair and Kuwait International Book Fair.
Rawan then was a contributing beauty editor in Velvet magazine (2017) and then joined Villa 88 as a contributing editor in their online magazine (2019).
Rawan was a cover girl of Mother Baby & Child Magazine, Cosmopolitan Middle East, Harpers Bazaar Interiors Arabia, Laha Magazine, Kol Alosrah Magazine, Moda Chic Magazine, Layalina Magazine, Zafaf Magazine Kuwait, The Gate Mall Magazine Kuwait, Al-Yaqatha Magazine Middle East.
