Greg Simmons was arrested Friday as he was driving to his house from a bar on San Antonio’s northwest side. My Santonio reported that he was intoxicated at the time.

Court records and other sources revealed that he was driving 20 miles per hour, which led to his arrest. The arrest occurred after Bexar County deputies responded to reports that Simmons was drifting on the side of the road.

He was stopped by a Bexar County sheriff’s deputy who could smell the alcohol and noted that Simmons was unable to walk under control.

He had trouble speaking and when they asked him to show his driver’s license, he took the credit card out of it. He also refused to take a breathalyzer test and had his blood tested.

Simmons had a lawyer and was released the same day. According to arrest records, he was given no special accommodations and an arraignment in his case is scheduled for February 28.
