Deidre Reid was last seen by her family at 112 E Turner Street in Pageland on September 3. At the time, she was on her way to the Greyhound bus station and was driving a 2004 Chevy Tahoe with an SC FXU 718 license plate. The vehicle also has a NY Giants Tag on the front of the vehicle, Pageland police said.
Reid is described as a 41-year-old black woman, last seen in gray sweatpants, a light pink and white shirt, and white Air Force one shoes, with her hair tied back in a ponytail. “Our thoughts continue with the family and we want to locate Deidre Reid,” Pageland police said.

Deidre was last seen leaving her Pageland residence to take her children’s father to the Greyhound bus station in Uptown Charlotte. Her sister Jammie Avery told WCNC Charlotte that she was “planning to meet my sister here in Charlotte after leaving the father of her child.” However, Reid’s three sons and hers siblings never heard from her thereafter. Concerned for her safety, they began looking for recent car accidents in an attempt to find out what might have happened to her. After 24 hours of disappearance, the family was able to submit a missing person report to the Pageland police.
“We were on it, it didn’t take us long,” Avery said. “We knew right away … it’s one of those things you have a hunch about.” Avery explained to the station that it was not like her sister to simply disappear from her, considering that she is always in contact with her 11 siblings and especially her children. “On the one hand, she is always with her children,” said the conflicted sister. “She loves her children. She would never get up and leave her children. Never.”
Reid was reportedly last seen on September 3 with Emanuel Bedford, who lives in Georgia. Pageland Police Capt.Shane Whitley said investigators believe the couple made it to the Greyhound station in Uptown, but that’s where they lost track of Reid. The police captain said that Bedford is neither a suspect nor a person of interest in the case at the time of writing. However, Reid’s family has questions about the case and the investigation that followed.
“[Bedford] hasn’t called to see how his son is doing. How do you do that? His mother is missing, ”Avery said. She said the family felt that authorities were not doing enough to track down Reid’s whereabouts and that they had had to do many of their own investigations and investigations. “We came [to the bus station], we asked questions, we asked them to see the [security] footage; They told us they couldn’t show us, but if we brought the police here, they would, ”Avery said. “Pageland [the police] should have done this. We were here doing it. ”
According to Whitley, the investigation is multi-jurisdictional and involves the Pageland Police, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and the South Carolina Division of Law Enforcement. He said detectives were looking for the 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe involved in the case. “Locating that vehicle is going to be the most important thing right now in this case,” Whitley insisted. “Anyone knows where this vehicle is.” Police caption said that they had seen surveillance footage from the bus station and that Pageland Police were working with CMPD to obtain other footage from the area.
Meanwhile, members of Reid’s family have offered a $ 10,000 reward for information that leads them to find her.
