On Friday night, the “All of My Kids” star introduced the 2022 Daytime Emmys “In Memoriam” acknowledgment, and stopped briefly to discuss her late mate, Helmut Huber.

“I am so delighted to be here with you tonight praising people that we love and have lost for the ongoing year. I send my sympathy to my heart to the loved ones of those we honor tonight,” she said.

“My soul mate, Head protector Huber, was an astounding force of nature. He was a sure gatekeeper who knew definitively how to get things rolling and to keep all of us laughing at the same time. Helmut treasured and was so happy for our superb young people and our grandchildren. Helmut was my most memorable love,” Lucci continued.

“They say that aggravation is the expense we pay for fondness. Without a doubt, misery is a horrifying expense, but I wouldn’t give up even one snapshot of the love,” she added.

Huber, a television producer, kicked the can on Walk 28 at 84.

The “In Memoriam” segment, was set to a show of “How is it that I could Should Live Without You” by Michael Bolton, and respected those in daytime television who died throughout the span of the previous year, including the well known Betty White.
