Apparently overwhelmed with feelings when her name was proclaimed, Lizzo appeared and immediately asked her “Big Grrrls” to join her in bearing the honor.

“I really maintain that my young women should go on stage from now on, right now! I really want to thank the Emmys and the residents of the Emmys,” Lizzo began. “Above all, I am especially reserved. Also, the award is perfect, but my bias is for these people who are on stage with me.”

Lizzo went on to address how full-figured women are normal, their records only being told here and there in the mainstream press. “The records that you shared, they are not absurdly phenomenal. They just can’t get back to telling stories on stage. Could we basically go back to telling more stories?” she continued.

“Exactly when I was a young woman, all I expected to see in the media was someone who was fat like me, dark like me, exquisite like me,” Lizzo really said. “If she could go back and say something to little Lizzo, she would say, ‘You’ll see that person simultaneously, bitch, it should be you.'”

Lizzo’s series records a competition to find full support specialists for her run at Bonnaroo.

Just as Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Enormous Grrrls was heralded as an Emmy contender in July, she took to Instagram to praise the action, saying, “BEWARE BIG GRRRLS IT’S EMMY We selected my grrrls we didn’t do this for awards we did this by ourselves.
