NEW DELHI, September 12 (IANS) – The Delhi High Court on Monday took the suo motu perception of media reports of the death of two people after breathing noxious gases into a sewer while one of them was cleaning a canal in the Mundka region of the public capital last week.
Notifying of this issue, a division seat of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad awaited the reaction of the chief secretary of the regional government, the Delhi Municipal Corporation and the Delhi Jal Board. Lead counsel Rajshekhar Rao was appointed as amicus curiae regarding this situation to assist the court.
According to media reports, on September 9, two people, Rohit Chandiliya (32) and Ashok Kumar (30), died in the Mundka region of West Delhi after breathing poisonous gases into a sewer.
Chandiliya, a sweeper at the pads of the Delhi Development Authority, was cleaning a canal to fix the barricade but forgot to breathe in the noxious fumes inside. Kumar, a security officer who was nearby, entered the well in an attempt to save him. In any case, he, too, felt teary-eyed and trapped inside.

However, they were removed from the channel and transferred to an emergency clinic with the assistance of police and fire authorities, who arrived at the scene later, both were declared dead by specialists.
