Hick’s Career in Education Hicks had just been at his job at Northwest ISD for a couple of months before his passing. His calling in training spanned 30 years, states Hicks’s profile on the Northwest ISD website. He served at virtually every level of the vocation, beginning as a study hall educator before moving on to land management and eventually local organizing.

Hicks accepted her doctorate in educational authority from the University of North Texas, where she also earned her graduate degree in educational organization.

Prior to his work in Northwest ISD, Hicks most recently served as principal of Sherman ISD for a considerable period, where he helped grow the region’s asset balance and fostered imaginative educational projects, including AP and dual credit courses. Sherman High School also kept up with the highest graduation rate nearby under Hick’s supervision.
