‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Sequel’ Trailer Teases a Puzzling Mystery — and Tons of Stars

Hoping there’s one thing the new trailer for Glass Onion: A Blades Out Continuation explains, it’s that fans are in for a confusing mystery. Due to the recently revealed secret, puzzles are at the center of Rian Johnson’s 2019 hit trailer, with viewers free to “put the pieces together.” In any case, be warned: “This is definitely not a game”, Daniel Craig’s Det. Benoit Blanc articulates.

Clearly, the trailer leaves fans with more questions than answers, but the pressure and herd of stars make it worth booking Netflix’s December 23 broadcast date. Once again, Johnson’s freshest part in the secret manslaughter series, incorporates a top-pick company cast.

Despite Craig, the film casts Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista as it moves the setting to Greece, where Blanc has to “peel back the layers of a mystery that includes yet another cast of charming suspects.”

As for the title of the new movie, Johnson revealed that it was inspired by the 1968 Beatles song. “I’m always looking for something fun that Blanc can grab as a tired representation that she can hammer into the ground,” he shared. “All this is in sight from the beginning. This is how the glass came to me, something clear”.

He added: “From a genuine perspective, I pulled out my iPhone and looked at my music library with the word ‘glass.’ There should be some extraordinary glass melodies. I was like, “OMG, is this a crystal fortress? Is it a glass castle? Is he a glass man? The main thing that came out, because I’m a huge Beatles fan, is ‘Glass Onion.’”

Glass Onion: A Blades Out Secret will air in select scenes set to air before December 23 on Netflix. Take a look at the trailer above!
