Kanpur (UP), September 8 (IANS) Perfumer Piyush Jain was released Thursday from Kanpur prison after spending 254 days behind bars. An amount of 196 million rupees and 23 kg of gold was found in the walls of the house during a strike in December last year.
Although Jain had been granted bail two days earlier, his release was postponed due to confirmed reports. His better half Kanta Jain and his son Priyansh Jain submitted pledges of Rs 10 lakhs each and he was then handed over.

In the attacks that lasted for four days, more than 196 million rupees were recovered from both locations. In addition, 23 kg of unknown staggered gold and 600 liters of sandalwood oil were recovered. Two arguments were filed against Piyush and he was expelled from prison on December 27.
