Chennai, September 8 (IANS) The Tamil Nadu Wetlands Mission has authorized Rs 1.5 cr for the reclamation of 16 sections of land from Lake Otteri. The lake is arranged in the Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur. The excavation will be scraped off and the excavation will be hugged to clean it.
Tamil Nadu Remote Areas Division authorities informed IANS that they had submitted a proposal to the Wetland Mission and that the office had approved the expected money for the reconstruction of the lake. The territory will be redesigned to attract more birds, officials told IANS.
Sources in the Timberland office said reconstruction work would begin when the assets are moved. Nuisance plant species that are available in the lake would be removed.
The water channels that enter and leave the lake will be cleaned of sediment, garbage and waste to guarantee the free flow of water. Islands and hills would be made within the lake and saplings and trees suitable for birds would be planted.
The wetlands mission also plans to introduce bird-watching towers inside the lake once reclamation work is complete.
