Ho Chi Minh City, Sep 8 (IANS) At least 32 people have been killed in a fire at a karaoke bar in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, according to nearby media reports. In a report on Wednesday, Cong A Nhan Dan newspaper, the official mouthpiece of the Ministry of Public Security, said the victims included 17 men and 15 women, the BBC reports.
The ministry said there were about 60 people in the A Phu karaoke bar when the fire broke out on Tuesday night. “The fire started on the second floor of the bar and immediately spread to the third floor, which was loaded with combustible material,” it said in a statement.
Nearby media reports stated that to escape, four individuals jumped from the second and third floors. They endured wounds still overcome. Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after precautions were triggered. Referring to an anonymous authority, the VnExpress news site said on Wednesday that the search for additional victims has ended.

This was the deadliest in a progression of flames at karaoke bars in Vietnam in recent times, raising concerns about unfortunate health principles, the BBC said. Last month, three firefighters died while trying to put out a fire at a karaoke bar in the capital, Hanoi.
In 2016, a fire at another karaoke bar in Hanoi left 13 dead.
