Comedian Chris Rock chased after video of Will Smith saying ‘sorry’ for slapping him at the Oscars lately. “To hell with your arrest video,” Rock said during a weekend concert at London’s O2 Arena, as Deadline demonstrated. Smith slapped Rock after the comedian joked about Smith’s life partner, Jada Pinkett Smith, who has a shaved head due to a condition called alopecia.
“Jada, I love you,” Rock said from the stage during the Oscar administration. “‘GI Jane 2,’ I can barely stand to watch it.” Likewise, Will Smith came onstage, slapped Rock across the face, and then went back to his seat and yelled, “Keep my soulmate’s name out of your fucking mouth!”
In July, Smith streamed a video to apologize. “On this note, I will say to you, Chris, I feel sorry for you,” Smith said. “My approach to acting was unacceptable and I’m here when you’re ready to talk.”
“There is nothing significant to me that I think that was the right strategy to go through at the time,” Smith added. “There is nothing fundamental to me that I think that is the best way to deal with an impression of rudeness or insult.”

Even though that rock didn’t understand him, he also protected his joke. “Did that shit hurt you?” Dave Chappelle, who was also at the event in London, asked Rock, according to The Guardian. Rock responded, “Damn… mother dear hit me for a Bologna joke, the most wonderful joke she ever told.”
Smith, who could go on to win Best Actor that night, left the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Academy also banned him from the Oscars for a very long period of time.
