In another claim documented by the two hip-hop symbols, they say that Triller has failed to agree on their consent to buy Verzuz despite running out of Verzuz events at its founding.

Last March, Triller announced that it had hired Verzuz to regularize on its social scene in a bid to break into the music space and work with prominent craftsmen. The two rappers were supposed to be investors under the deal for an undisclosed amount of cash, and had further said that a share of value from their leftover offerings would be awarded to 43 artists who participated in Verzuz.

Verzuz was created by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland as an Instagram Live idea, but instead of the artisans talking, they were in conflict. The event was made famous in large part by how the Covid-19 pandemic had locked people indoors due to social removal rules, and everything was moving on the internet.

Music fans, especially those in the hip hop circle, were hungry for the fun that Verzuz delivered. In any case, a year after the settlement was facilitated, the two rappers say that Verzuz has reneged on the deal. According to TMZ, Timbaland and Swizz want to recover $28 million from Triller, which is forgotten money owed for the rap fight idea.

The rappers say that Triller first paid two installments on the sum, but from then on, the company defaulted. After that event, the rappers say that Triller eventually made another delivery, but shortly after that, they reneged on the deal Triller currently owes $28 million or more in interest, the rappers say.

Meanwhile, according to TMZ, Triller says the rappers have been paid millions in real money and Stock doesn’t know what’s going on. “This is really sad and we trust this is just a misconception pushed by legal advisers. We don’t want to air our messy clothes in the press, but we have paid Swizz and Tim millions in real money and stock,” Triller said in a statement.

“No one has benefited as much from Triller to date. Triller has helped propel VERZUZ higher than ever, making it the global social quirk it is today. We want to figure this out cool and fast, and we truly believe this is just a bug. If we are forced to protect it, we are more than a hopeful reality and the realities are our ally,” said an earlier statement from Triller.

In a subsequent statement shared Monday night, Triller assured that they paid Swizz and Timbaland $50 million for a long time under the deal, and that there is no fight over the money.

“This is not a fight over Verzuz, but basically getting quotas for Swizz and Tim. Triller has paid Swizz and Tim over $50 million in real money and stock to date, and they can help significantly more in the long run. Likewise, they have annual commitments, which when fulfilled, and there has been no break, qualify them for extra quotas,” the organization said in a statement.
