I found the disputes that they had, I lived with Elvis trying to control him, I would have preferred not to make movies with all the young women and the beaches and everything, that I really expected to do serious things. In this way, living that, with him, and seeing the film, brought back many memories.”
Elvis and Priscilla were married for a significant period of time during the height of his reputation. According to Priscilla, Elvis hoped to elevate his vocation beyond music and enter as a serious artist. Elvis went on to make around 30 movies throughout his life, but a larger part of them are set in tropical scenes with women bending over him as he sings.
