Al was a well known director who made B-grade horror films and exploitation films. Adamson began working professionally in the movie business when he was young.

In addition to directing, he has appeared in 33 films. Some of these are cult classic movies like Dracula vs. Frankenstein and Psycho A-Go-Go. His wife, Regina Carol, an actress and singer, used to be a casting choice in his movies.

Adamson stopped making movies in the early 1980s to pursue a career in real estate. In 1995, a resident contractor Adamson had hired to work on his property killed him. His death and subsequent trial attracted much interest, and he was the subject of numerous true crime television movies.

A jury took less than two hours to find Fred Fulford guilty of murder after a six-week trial. This ruling was handed down by a judge in November 1999, and in March 2000 he was sentenced to 25 years to life.

He is currently serving a 72-year sentence at the California Health Care Center in Stockton.

Even though he was eligible for parole in early 2016, the board turned him down for three years. On June 3, 2021, the same decision was confirmed. Accordingly, Fred will be subject to a parole hearing in June 2024.

Following a search of his home, Fred was arrested after Al Adamson’s brother called the police to report his brother’s absence. One day, one of Al’s brothers came to visit him, but left when he realized Al wasn’t there.

At first he wasn’t worried, but on July 26 he reported him missing after five weeks of no contact. Then it was learned that no one had spoken to the director.
