Koshy lured victims with her celebrity, according to deputy prosecutor Lim Ying Min, who spoke with Mashable Asia. In addition, it has been reported that she tried to solicit sexual activities from a teenager. The teenager was a minor, according to reports in Singapore’s English-language newspaper The Strait Times.

Six people reported Koshy to the police in August 2020 after allegations against him surfaced on Instagram. He was charged with the crime of recording his sexual conduct with a man in late August 2021.

According to reports in the area, Dee Kosh was convicted of trying to entice a teenage boy into sexual activity for cash. According to additional sources, Koshy made an initial offer to the person of about 400 Singapore dollars, which was later increased to 2,000 Singapore dollars. According to The Strait Times, Koshy first encountered the young man in February 2017 near the Takashimaya department store on Orchard Road in Singapore. The person was allegedly selling flowers at the time.

Koshy later apparently looked up the boy’s contact information with the help of his Instagram followers. He then proceeded to contact the person on WhatsApp and made him a job offer. When Koshy later showed up to offer the boy sex for money after learning the boy did not have a girlfriend, the boy refused.

Dee Kosh allegedly made five such sexual solicitation offers after the aforementioned incident. Five more people did the same thing in August 2020 after one of these people came forward with the accusations of her.

The YouTuber was charged with three counts of paying men to have illegal sex with minors earlier this year. He was also charged with three counts of violating the Film Law by filming his interactions with men. Singapore authorities reportedly found at least 25 of these recordings on his device after his arrest. Dee Kosh was also charged with an offense under the Children and Young Persons Act in addition to the above charges.

Even if some of his victims were not minors, according to a local newspaper, at least four of his victims were between the ages of 15 and 17. In Singapore, people over the age of 16 can engage in sexual intercourse, but those under the age of 18 also receive some legal protection from sexual abuse.

Koshy could have been sentenced to up to two years in prison under Singapore law for each attempt he made to solicit sexual acts from children in exchange for money. He too could have been fined. However, the 33-year-old Filipino only received a 32-week prison sentence. The amount of the fine, if any, is unknown.

If Kosh had been convicted of using minors for sexual purposes and charged under the Children and Young People Act, he could have been sentenced to up to five years in prison. He would have been subject to up to ten years in prison, a fine of S$10,000 or both for such an offence.

The former DJ and YouTuber reportedly faced up to two years in prison in addition to the possible fine of S$20,000 to S$40,000 for documenting such acts on film.

Dee Kosh was fired from Power 98FM as a result of these allegations, and other companies including Night Owl Cinematics Productions and Huawei severed ties with the disgraced YouTuber.
