On Friday, July 22, after entering a guilty plea for the shocking demonstration he committed against the 39-year-old, Wilson was sentenced in Victoria County Court.

Before he was arrested in a room at Robert’s home in Darley, north-west Melbourne, from March 25-29, the person in question and Robert, 35, met on the dating app Badoo.

Wilson was sentenced to 22 1/2 years in prison on Friday, July 22, by County Court Judge Fiona Todd. Wilson will be registered as a deep-seated sexual offender and would have to finish 16 years in prison before qualifying for release. Wilson evidently discussed her plans to move in with the lady shortly before locking her inside her home and holding her in custody.

He noted the victim’s movement. Wilson used surveillance cameras to monitor the victim’s exercises on his property; an electrified barrier and metal curtains around his house. Robert beat her with a metal bar, put a harpoon to her head, strangled her, and asked, “Would you like to die?” during the assaults. He even forced the lady to send him cash and deleted her phone and Facebook contacts.

On March 29, 2019, Wilson gave birth to her five days later. She drove the victim to her house and warned her of serious repercussions if she told anyone about the episode. Wilson filed a plea for deceitful arrest, three counts of assault, robbery and willful mischief.

Ruthless without limits Judge Todd referred to the misdeed as “terribly appalling”. The adjudicator hoped that the discipline would satisfactorily convey the reality of the attacks and the horrendous brutality. The designated authority commented: “This was past brutality.”

She guaranteed that the terrible event had a devastating effect on the person in question and that it is very possible that at no time in the future would she consider getting involved with a man. She was often frozen with fear when you were hurting her, but she had a strong determination to live, Judge Todd said as he read the casualty impact proclamation. She showed that she now feels different and that from now on she will no longer be ordinary, the designated authority said.

The “enormous” efforts of the person in question to describe the episode to his peers, the police, the courts and to endure long periods of questioning were praised by Judge Todd.
