Felicia Sonmez had tweeted a hostile joke from a colleague. A conversation between her and the other employee started on the internet after she shared a screenshot of the joke.
In a series of tweets over the past few days, she has guaranteed that the Post will give prepared, white writers special treatment, even to the extent that they are allowed to post through virtual entertainment.
Why did Washington Post remove Felicia Sonmez? WFTV message on reporter fired
A closing letter from The Washington Post states that Felicia Sonmez, a public service correspondent whose new analysis of partners and virtual entertainment distributions has received impressive attention, has been terminated.
After scrutinizing an individual columnist for retweeting a profane joke, she is said to have sparked a hot web conversation this week over virtual entertainment rules and how to act as partners in broad daylight.
The Washington Post stated it would not cover faculty affairs. Nevertheless, a duplicate of the letter of apology she received, blaming her for “resistance, criticizing your employees on the web, and ignoring the Post’s standards of collegiality and variety in the work environment,” was published on the Mediaite- site and elsewhere in the world stories.
A deputy from the Post declined to comment, saying: “We are not investigating staff concerns.” The lead supervisor, Sally Buzbee, declined to comment on the apology, which was originally covered by the Daily Beast.
Sonmez replied, “I have no response so far,” to questions about this case.
Felicia shared a screenshot of a cold-blooded joke that her colleague Dave Weigel posted on Twitter, along with the explanation, “Unbelievable to work at a news organization that allows retweets like this,” which kicked off the incident. According to media allegations, Weigel was given a month-long suspension from The Post for his retweet.
The Post and Sonmez have been in conflict for some time.
She filed a claim against the newspaper last year, guaranteeing that her editors had skillfully violated her no less than twice. The Post briefly pulled her from the Me Too beat and Brett Kavanaugh proceedings in 2018 after she openly revealed she had been a victim of rape, which Sonmez said was an “oppressive reason.”
In addition, the Post temporarily suspended her in January 2020 when she tweeted an article regarding rape claims against Kobe Bryant, not long after the baseball player died.
Felicia Sonmez Husband and family Felicia Sonmez is now linked; nevertheless, she has not revealed her other half’s name nor the day of their wedding.
For once, the Washington Post did something commendable. They fired this cheeky, titled, manipulative whiner. To the rest of corporate America held hostage by these little horrors: get some backbone and stop being dictated to by the worst in your ranks. https://t.co/PnCxKVavlu
