In 1996, Jim Ryan was hospitalized with corrupting stage 2 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and began chemotherapy. Essentially, in October 1997, Jim’s significant other Marie Ryan experienced a confused coronary respiratory failure that nearly ended her life.
