Richard Barthelmess was an American film entertainer and creator best known for his work during the Hollywood quiet period. His filmography includes The Last Flight, Broken Blooms, The Adoration Blossom, Way Down East, Three Men and a Young lady, The Patent Calfskin Youngster, Child of the Divine beings, Legends available to buy, Red Days, The First light Watch, The Lodge in the Cotton, The City Hall leader of 44th Road, The One Who Blabbered, The Spoilers, Four Hours to Kill!, The Demonstration of Shows, The Little Shepherd of The Hereafter, Out of the Remnants, The White Black Sheep, The young lady who stayed at home, and I’ll get him. In 1927, Richard Barthelmess helped found the Foundation of Movie Expressions and Sciences.

Due to his mother’s vocation as a stage entertainer, Richard Barthelmess lived his childhood in the theater and experienced walk-ons from the start.
He enjoyed acting during his school years and in 1919 had 5 years of stock organizing experience. It was Russian entertainer Alla Nazimova, a companion of the family, who persuaded him to try to pursue a lifetime of acting.

Together with Charles Duell and Henry Lord, Richard Barthelmess has set up his own creative organization called Motivation Film Organization. He was portrayed by Photoplay magazine in 1922 as the “symbol of every young lady in America”.
For his exhibit in the 1927 silent show film The Patent Cowhide Youngster, he was awarded a Foundation Grant designation in the “Best Entertainer” class.
During the Second Great War, Richard Barthelmess enlisted in the United States Navy Save and enlisted as a lieutenant commander. His last film job was playing Ed Kirby in the 1942 film The City hall leader of 44th Road.
During his later years he lived off his land speculations. For his dedication to the entertainment world, Richard Barthelmess was awarded a movie star on the Hollywood Stroll of Popularity at 6755 Hollywood Lane in 1960.
