President Emmanuel Macron stated on Twitter Monday that a French writer named Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff had been murdered while working in Ukraine. This is the latest of a few columnists who were killed or injured in the Russian invasion.
He was reportedly there to show the truth about the conflict in Ukraine. The journalist was “exploited by shrapnel” while covering the philanthropic activity in a shielded vehicle, according to BFMTV.
On the occasion, his associate Maxime Brandstaetter was slightly injured, but their “repairman”, Oksana Leuta, remained safe. Mr Leclerc-Imhoff was in Ukraine for the second time since the Russian attack began on February 24. As reported by BFMTV, he had worked for the station for quite some time.
