Praveen Kumar Sobti was born on December 6, 1947 in Punjab. He is the main player in throwing a hammer and a circle. It was a direct result of sport that Kumar was given the position of Deputy Commander in the Border Security Force (BSF).

In the year 1981, he ventured into acting with the movie Raksha in which he appeared close to Jeetendra and Parveen Babi. After this film, he served as a supporting entertainer in numerous Bollywood movies including Karishma Kudrat Ka, Yudh, Jabardast, Sinhasan, Khudgarj, Loha, Mohabbat Ke Dushman and others.

Nevertheless, Kumar gained popularity in his profession from the TV sequential Mahabharata coordinated by BR Chopra and was later seen as Bhima in every Indian family.

Kumar was paired and lived with his family in New Delhi. His child is a pilot and served in Indian Airlines. His girl Nipunika Sobti was once attracted to Bollywood entertainer Akshay Kumar. Praveen Kumar Sobti was born and raised in Sarhali Kalan, Punjab.

He joined in legislative issues after leaving acting in 2013, challenging the Delhi rally races of the Wazirpur voting public on the part of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), but still lost.
