Amyra Dastur was born on May 7, 1993 in Bombay, into a wealthy Parsi family. Her father, Gulzar Dastur, is a specialist and director of Bhatia Hospital and her mother, Delna Dastur, is an expert in advertising. She has a younger brother named Jehangir Dastur who is a culinary specialist by vocation.

Amyra got her basic education from Cathedral and John Connon School. He continued his higher studies at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai, but left it incomplete to pursue his calling in acting.
