Jacob Smith’s Parents and Family Jacob and his family led an ordinary life until calamity struck. Jacob was determined to have a damaging brain cancer the size of a baseball. Jacob’s mother took him to the ophthamologist after seeing something strange in him. His optic nerve was enlarged and dying, so the specialist immediately realized something was amiss.

Everything seemed to be fine until that second, so the young man was taken to Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, where an MRI filter discovered the growth that affected his optic nerve. Jacob needed to adopt a crisis method. The medical procedure required 12 hours and yielded positive results. After a series of medical procedures, specialists had the option of removing enough of the growth. Jacob had four major brain surgeries when he was 12 years old.
