Who is Cheryl Piston? Cheryl was originally from LaSalle, Illinois, and she left her common family when she was 16 years old. She later, at that time, moved to the West Coast and attended high school there. She spoke about her time there and said that she got “into the lap of luxury. Hanging out at Hugh Hefner’s house, weekends in Vegas, stuff like that.” Cheryl eventually became a Buddhist and met Kareem in 1977. At first, her match seemed unlikely due to their differences.
